27. CENELEC Standard
According to CENELEC standards, railway rolling stock cables are designed to meet the following critical
requirements:
2 levels of low temperature: -25 °C and -40 °C
2 levels of fluid resistance: Mineral oil resistant, or mineral oil/fuel resistant
3 levels of hazard: HL1, HL2, HL3, HL4
