ESI 09-6 Issue 5 Section 2 – Induced Voltage Control Cable
Conductors
0.90mm Tinned annealed copper wire in accordance with BS6360 Class 1.
Insulation
The conductors are insulated with Polyvinyl Chloride Type 02 to BS7655, uniformly twisted together to form a
pair with a maximum lay length of 125mm, and colour coded for identification (See Table 1). Suitable for voltages
up to and including 150 Volts (d.c.) and 110 Volts (a.c.)
Cable Formation
2 pair cables are laid up in quad formation.
5 – 100 pair cables are laid up in layer formation.
Screens
All cables, if required, can incorporate a screen comprising of an aluminium/PETP tape.
The tape screen is in contact with a 0.80mm tinned copper drain wire.
